Jason founded Pierson Commercial in the Fall of 2011. He is one of the foremost trusted real estate advisors in the commercial retail real estate brokerage industry serving many Fortune 500 retailers and institutional property holders. Jason is sought after by leaders in New Jersey for the firm’s involvement in high-profile urban and suburban ground-up development and redevelopment projects, national tenant representation and significant shopping center leasing assignments.
He has created a retail brokerage and advisory firm that represents numerous national retailers including 24 Hour Fitness, Blaze Pizza, Bubbakoo's Burritos, C2 Education, Fidelity Investments, Forman Mills, Jersey Mike's Subs, Mamoun's Falafel, Starbucks Coffee and Wells Fargo Bank. The firm also represents leading real estate owners and developers including BNE Real Estate Group, DEVCO, Edison Properties, Hampshire Companies, Jacobs Enterprises, L&M Development, Sharbell Development and Urban Edge Properties throughout Central and Northern New Jersey. Jason recently completed a successful major mixed-use redevelopment project, The Yard, at the main Rutgers University New Brunswick campus as well as has been actively contributing to the revitalization of Newark by bringing several national retailers into the city. The firm is actively involved in the leasing of major retail mixed-use developments in Atlantic City, Jersey City, Newark and New Brunswick, and a leader in high-profile urban retail redevelopment leasing assignments.
Prior to starting Pierson Commercial, Jason was a leader for CBRE Inc.'s ("CBRE") Central and Northern New Jersey retail brokerage division's operations. He was a member of CBRE's retail brokerage group in New York City before joining CBRE's New Jersey Retail Group in 2007.
Jason has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and minor in Economics from The University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New Jersey and a licensed salesperson in the State of New York. Jason is the New Jersey ICSC government relations co-chair, a former advisory board member for the Rutgers University Center for Real Estate, and an advisory board member and guest lecturer at Monmouth University’s Kislak Real Estate Institute’s MBA program. He is an active member of the community contributing to several charity organizations, including the Melanoma Research Foundation of America and the American Red Cross, and is a Marlboro Township volunteer soccer coach.
